Dairy Queen's Smart Move

A unique proposition by Dairy Queen rewards sweet-tooth bloggers with $5 coupons to blog anything and everything about Dairy Queen. Potential bloggers answer the question: “What deal would you make with us to try our new Sweet Deals value menu?"

The campaign is entitled Creating Smiles and Stories. DQ says: Write a blog post here about what deal you’d make with us to try our Sweet Deals for free and we'll give you a $5 coupon!

This has many positive components and is positive for the company for (actually) a LOT of reasons:

1. The more posts to a blog, the more it will pop up on search engines.
2. Helps get positive propaganda for their company.
3. The blog posts are like a free exit survey with comments and suggestions for their company.
4. I'm sure people who get the coupon are going to use it!!! (more mula for DQ)
5. Most important: DQ gets a bunch of free publicity with all the newspapers and other blogs picking up on this unique marketing strategy. (More visits to the blog, and starts the cycle over again)
