Broke? Become a Budget Counselor!

Freelance PR specialists are thriving in this exponentially declining economic crisis. Floundering companies are realizing they need to rescue their brand names...and FAST. The only problem? They don't have the money to hire a PR agency.

For the quick-fix, they hire freelancers who are commonly cheaper than prestigious (but overpriced) PR firms. Freelancers are usually more flexible and faster than agencies bogged down by drowning clients.

However, from the freelancer side of things- clients are small and medium-sized companies. Big firms or multinational companies are still using big agencies because of a long-standing trust and business politics.

For a budding freelancer, the question is, "Is it worth it? Will companies get bigger or smaller in the future?" The logical answer would be bigger. Companies are turning into huge conglomerates of smaller organizations. While the economy is down, smaller companies will be dying and bigger businesses picking them up. It seems freelancers will be thriving until either the economy turns around again, or Disney owns everything.
